When fall comes around, the trees bring us a beauty of colors of reds, oranges, and yellows. Not only do they surround us with beauty, but provide the environment with a lot of benefits:
- Habitat for Wildlife: Trees allow animals a place to live and provide sources of food for them. Many animals rely on nesting in trees during the cooler months.
- Natural Cooling and Energy Conservation: Trees provide shade which helps to regulate temperatures. By shading buildings, they can reduce the need for air conditioning which helps to conserve energy and keep utility costs low.
- Air Purification: Trees act as natural air purifiers by taking out the carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. As trees start to lose their leaves, they continue to take in carbon dioxide which helps to reduce the effects of climate change.
